Thursday, April 16, 2026, 5 – 7 pm Jointhe Portrait Gallery and Poetry Camera for a new kind of poetry workshop. Created by Kelin Carolyn Zhang and Ryan Mather,Poetry Cameraisa camera thatwritespoems about what it sees.Using this unique technology as a platform for discussion, we will invite participants to explore portraits in the museums collection through a new lens.In the second half of the workshop, participants will turn the camera inward to create poetic portraits of themselves. Participants will explore questionsofselfhood,biasand authorship in the age of AI through the Portrait Gallery's permanent collections.
