About

Sundays, April 12 - May 3, 12 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (in-person weeks one, two and four; online individual coaching week three). Graduation show May 6 at the DC Improv. Through hands-on training with instructor Chris Coccia, you'll learn how to prepare, polish and perform a five-minute stand-up comedy set. A tight, funny, five-minute set can carry you through a comedy career from start to stardom. It can be your open stage set, it can be your audition set and it can be your spot on any number of late-night shows. Lots of people have dreamed about giving stand-up comedy a try. This class gives you the structured environment that will finally get you on stage. Please note: Students must have access to a device with a webcam and microphone to participate in individual coaching sessions. The instructor commutes from Philadelphia to teach in person courses, and on occasion start time of the class may be delayed slightly due to Amtrak changes. All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges. Class Policies Patrons must be 18 or older to attend events or classes at the DC Improv. Any exceptions are clearly noted in the event descriptions on dcimprov.com.
