About
Saturday, April 11, 2026, 2:30 – 4 pm Teens: Ready to level up your art? Join us for Teen Studio, a free art-making program exclusively for teens ages 1319. Push your artistic boundaries using materials and techniques inspired by artists whose work is now on view at the Hirshhorn. Join us in Art School every weekend in April, where we'll explore art inspired by the natural world! This Saturday, we'll learn about assemblage artist Joseph Cornell. Then we'll learn how to make cyanotype prints using natural materials and other found objects with guest artistWildalys Quiones. Guest Artist Wildalys Quionesis a Puerto Rican mixed-media artist based in Washington, DC, with a focus on cyanotype, pyrography, and fiber arts. Her personal work centers on the process of creation itself, choosing to focus on the mindful and meditative aspects of making rather than the final product. Guided by the belief that art and craftmaking should be accessible to everyone, Wildalys uses her background in museum education to develop art workshops in museum and library spaces that explore new mediums while fostering a sense of exploration and play. Drop in to Teen Studio every Saturday between 2:30 and 4 PM. Register for the entire school yearhere(one-time registration covers all sessions). Join one session or join them all!
